Spring officially begins on March 20th and to celebrate, Mulberry is giving us carefree vibes with a new dance film.
It’s time to travel to Clerkenwell, London with royal British “It” girl and model Cressida Bonas for Mulberry’s new spring 2015 short film that is definitely hashtag worthy, can someone say #buttercupdress? As part of the first episode of the digital stories series, Mulberry is taking inspiration from London’s English country garden on a summer’s day.
The story celebrates the carefree mood of the spring collection such as floras with practical pockets and utilitarian shapes as well as laser-cut leather and sandals paired with intricate prints in a fresh palette of sea blue, whites and taupe’s.
Set to the beat of classic ESG, Dance and directed by young Russian director Ivana Bobic, who’s directed fashion films for Stella McCartney and Nivea, this dance film is all about the freedom of summer and the buttercup dress. The film was created by BAFTA award-winning production designer Michael Howells, choreographed by former leading dancer with Rambert Dance Company Martin Joyce.
Follow Cressida as she dances through an restored old court house with a grassy yellow brick road leading up to Mulberry’s luxe bags in the buttercup dress; the perfect spring frock. At FASHIONOTES we love dancing models campaign and we think Cressida may give Karlie a run for her money! Discover the fun and quirky and viral dance film with a special surprise at the end featuring English actor/hunk, Freddie Fox.
