Eye on E-Commerce: Own The Couture

This week’s Eye on E-Commerce looks at online consignment boutique Own The Couture, a member-only site offering pre-owned authenticated luxury fashion and accessories. Luxury brands sold onsite include Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Christian Louboutin, as well as contemporary labels like Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and Kate Spade.

“People are consuming more than ever, their closets are full and they sometimes only wear their designer goods once or twice,” said CEO and founder Caroline Reny. “I believe that high-quality designer fashions are made to last and deserve a second chance. Consignment shopping is a form of recycling that provides access to high fashion while opening up a new world to those interested in luxury brands, but who may not be able to afford it at regular cost.”

Customers have the opportunity to buy and sell their designer clothing and accessories. All items are inspected to assess the quality, condition and authenticity prior to being listed on the site. Styling tips are also provided to emulate the traditional sales associate experience at a physical retail location. Own The Couture offers delivery across North America with flat shipping rates to Canada and the United States.
