Tech Thursdays: True Love Bra

By Francesca Castor on January 30, 2014

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and this piece of wearable technology might be of interest. Labeled as the True Love Bra, this undergarment can only be hooked off if the wearer is in love.

Developed by a Japanese lingerie brand, Ravijour, the bra is clasped with a sensored piece at the front to hold it in place. The sensor is then connected to an app through Bluetooth. It measures a woman’s heart rate and the app displays what affects her heart.

Of course, this all depends on how the woman is feeling. If she’s feeling “in love”, the bra unhooks itself immediately, if the app shows that she’s not really in love, well the bra would be a bit harder to unhook. This undergarment is such a fascinating twist to the wearable technology trend, and it’ll be interesting to see how far they can take the trend.
