FASHIONOTES Closet: Sound-Reactive Sunglasses

By Jaclyn Hendricks on July 22, 2013

Show of hands, how many of you have ever been to a nightclub and witnessed fellow club goers rocking shades? Whether sundown or sunrise, nowadays it’s considered the norm to rock sunglasses at night. While some favor oversized styles to aviators, we have a feeling that the ultra-unique DropShades will become a dance floor staple soon.

As Trend Hunter reports, the DropShades are bound to brighten up any sundown soiree. How you ask? By the beats of the music blasting in the room. Thanks to a small “microphone connected to a signal processor, the incoming sound is then translated across twelve horizontal lights,” which are crafted from EL wire.

Successfully funded through a KickStarter campaign, the DropShades are one step closer to invading a party or nightclub near you. Currently available for pre order, these snazzy specs are a serious sight to be seen! Check out the video below and see for yourself.
