Technology saved our lives once again by digitally optimizing the live stream of runway shows. By taking advantage of this opportunity, British fashion house, Belstaff made its show available anywhere and on any device this NYFW. Many designers also shared their shows digitally with the unlucky souls not in New York attendance.

Belstaff optimized its stream on mobile devices by making an app available for download from its e-commerce site. Sharing more than just the runway show, Bryanboy hosted a pre-show for those who tuned in to the Belstaff show. Those wise enough to download the app were taken backstage of the IAC headquarters to look at the collection and intricacies of the preparations. Following the models through hair and makeup and discussing the inspiration for the line with Martin Cooper, the chief creative officer.

Further participation was enabled and encouraged on the desktop version. A hashtag aggregate showing #BelstaffLive appeared on the side of the desktop version, allowing viewers to comment on the show and engage with each other. This is more proof of the power of social media and its ability to keep everyone in-the-know.
