A little monkey named ‘Darwin’ has taken the fashion and social media world by storm, all by taking a little adventure into his local IKEA.

If you haven’t heard by now, a tiny monkey adorned in a shearling coat was found wandering an IKEA in the Toronto area. In doing so, Darwin has taken the entire world by storm, with news of his escapades reaching Australia, Malta and the United States. Furthermore, Darwin’s tiny little tan coat, dubbed ‘his favorite,’ has created a firestorm in the fashion and social media world.
Social networking sites such as Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook have been dominated by this pint-size creature and his fashionable style. See below for some of our favorite social media trends and parodies from the past week!

Twitter was one of the first places the IKEA Monkey phenomenon dominated. Hashtags such as #IkeaMonkey and #CuriousJorgen quickly became trends across Canada.
