Cartier’s Winter Tale

Just in time for the holiday season, Cartier has launched their newest campaign entitled Winter Tale. Winter Tale is a social media centric campaign that features videos and photos of two young panther cubs playing in the snow and stumbling upon Cartier’s collection of bracelets, rings, watches and clutch bags.

The campaign itself is very integrated with social media, as the video of the Winter Tale is available on Youtube, Facebook, as well as on the brand’s own website. Pinterest is also an important platform for the luxury brand, as fans can create a wish list for the holiday season. The brand is also offering fans a selection of animated gift wrappers available for download. Winter Tale follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the L’Odyssée advertising campaign, which ran on TV and online globally. What is also interesting to note is that panthers are first mentioned in Cartier’s L’Odyssée campaign and carried over into their holiday campaign.

The playful video adds a whimsical touch to the brand showing just how magical its pieces are, which are perfect to give as presents to that special someone. The video does a good job of presenting its pieces to the audience but in a magical, mischievous and mysterious way. The Winter Tale video does exactly what the title says: presents a tale of two young cubs playing in the snow and finding Cartier’s buried treasure. Sounds like a good Winter Tale to me.
