Anna Wintour’s signature wrap-around glasses, are no longer the coveted eye wear of fashion week. Google Glasses are.

When Google first debuted their glasses, we were a little underwhelmed with the design. Mostly because they look like something from the Terminator: part human, part machine. But this week Diane von Furstenberg breathed style back into the concept, styling her runway models with pairs of the eyewear.
Google nailed the tech part with these concept glasses. Essentially they look like a pair of clear, wire frames- but they also transform into a digital display. So your calendar, the weather report, and pictures materialize in front of your eyes. Check out the video below to see Google taking out a pair on the streets of NYC.
The futuristic part of these glasses is what people are talking about. The metal bar, which holds the screen and camera juts out of the right side is awkward, but it seems like a fair compromise for such a tech-savvy accessory.
Then during New York Fashion Week, DVF showed everyone it’s far from compromise- but a serious fashion statement. Geek chic is here to stay (or at least until spring 2013).
