W Mag is partnering with Hipstamatic to launch a brand new magazine inspired lens pack in honour of their Fashion focused September issue! Back in June, W Mag launched an online photography network in support of street style and now with the help of Hipstamatic your street style photos can look even better – think Sartorialist-esque.
The new lens pack is meant to give your photographs a more professional and artistic look by incorporating soft, cool grey tones and framing them in a thick black border. For the next 6 weeks users are encouraged to submit their photos to W‘s photo contest where the winners’ images will appear on W online, W’s Facebook page, and in a physical exhibit, alongside regular W contributors, at the New York branch of the Ace Hotel. The ultimate winner will be chosen to shoot an editorial to appear on W Mag’s website.
Winners of the contest will be announced October 15th so there’s still plenty of time to get the ball rolling (or the lens clicking). If you’re serious about fashion photography this contest is definitely for you, or, if you just like to take fun pictures with your iPhone, than this is also for you. Because really, who doesn’t like to take artsy pictures every once in a while?
