Tilda Swinton makes her fashion film debut in Katerina Jebb’s “The Future Will Last a Very Long Time.” The Paris-based photographer produced the short during rehearsals for Musée Galliera director, Olivier Saillard’s latest fashion performance, “The Impossible Wardrobe,” also featuring the British actress.

According to WWD, the cameo appearance features Swinton in a long white lab coat, accessorized with white gloves and high heels, wandering throughout the Musée Galliera’s clinical storerooms. The film follows Swinton sifting through historic archive garments (including a coat by Madeleine Vionnet), while past wearers of certain pieces, such as Napoléon Bonaparte and Sarah Bernhardt, are projected onto Swinton’s body and the screen behind her.
The screening will take place on each evening of the contemporary arts festival, Festival d’Automne à Paris, on loop, taking place at the Palais de Tokyo from September 29th – October 1st.
