In spirit of Stephanie Gilmore’s 5th Word Title, Quiksilver Women’s has launched a social media campaign to build buzz around the championship surfer and social responsibility. The charitable initiative works by crowdsourcing social media submissions, which the California-based brand will then reciprocate by donating funds to support the brand ambassador’s charity of choice, Coeur De Foret.
For over two years, Stephanie has worked alongside Cœur de Forêt to help develop a successful economic model in Senegal, Africa. With the launch of this new campaign, Quiksilver Foundation will be donating $1 for every #5STEPH submission across various social media channels, aiming for a total of $10,000 raised towards the cause.
Fans are encouraged to share photos that show a representation of the number five via social media, using the hashtag #5STEPH. Digital agency, Idea Rebel will be featuring the submitted images on Quiksilver Women’s Facebook tab, and for each day of the month-long promotion, Stephanie will be choosing her favorite submissions to win a $100 e-commerce giftcard.
