Fashion has embraced technology in a number of ways, and now some of Hollywood’s most style savvy celebs are sporting the LED trend.
Katy Perry’s LED Dress
Katy Perry showed off her toned legs and geeky style during the 2010 Costume Institute Gala in a tech-friendly frock. Her dress, designed by tech fashion duo Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz from CuteCircuit, was infused with 24,000 LED bulbs.
Fergie’s Light-Up LBD
Fergie is no stranger to futuristic-inspired stage costumes, so it wasn’t that big of a surprise to see her wearing an LED light dress at the 2010 Billboard Music Awards. Designed by Philips and B. Akerlund, the dress used light-infused, curve-hugging fabric to light up with the beat of the music.
