New York Fashion Week is the most highly anticipated time of the year when it comes to fashion. Even if you can’t snag a spot front row, this online platform is making sure you don’t miss out on any of the action. With so many events, shows, A-Listers and fashion designers taking part, it can be a daunting task to try and keep up with it all – especially if you don’t have the privilege of actually being there.
In lieu of us lacking an actual Mercedes Benz pass, we can usually be found attached to our phones and laptops notoriously scouring social media trying to soak in as many details about what is taking place within the tents as possible (and we know we’re not alone on this one!)
Realizing the demand for the inside scoop and deciding to do something about it, online publication Ben Trovato introduced us to the wonderful world of last seasons NYFW online via one concise and simplified social media platform – Faces of NYFW.
Utilizing Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr APIs, the platform aggregates the latest real-time data tagged with #FONYFW, #NYFW and #MBFW – meaning every update about the event can be found in one place. Whether it be directly from a designer’s Twitter or a fashion photographers Instagram account, you’re guaranteed to be seeing the latest and most relevant updates as they happen.
Last season saw over 80,000 posts tagged with #NYFW, #FONYFW and #MBFW. From those, FONYFW curated and approved 5,131 moments covering front row, backstage, VIP, street style and everything in-between. That’s 5,131 moments of the best videos, pictures and juicy quotes handed to you without the hassle of creeping trending Twitter topics and Instagram hashtags. So really, how could you not be excited about this?
Starting September 6th, Faces of NYFW is back to bring us the best of the best updates via social media and if you couldn’t tell, we’re already excited about it. To get a better idea of just what to expect, we suggest checking out the video below. Although, like us, we doubt you need anymore convincing.
