Conde Nast has launched a modeling game for iPhone and iPad where users can virtually strut their stuff down the runway. Fashion Hazard, as it’s officially called, is targeted at young girls and consists of a plot where you are an up and coming runway model navigating the fashion industry.
Starting at the bottom of the Fashion totem pole, you’re a model from a small town trying to be the next Coco Rocha or Karlie Kloss (whoever you prefer). Depending how well you perform, you can change avatars and eventually make it to the top runway fashion shows in London, Paris, Milan and New York.
The name Fashion Hazard actually suits the game’s objective quite well. Rather than glamorize the modelling industry, Conde Nast has taken more of a dramatic turn and has you walking on a very busy runway where you run the risk of stepping on snakes, getting hit by cups of coffee, tripping over fallen models and dodging buckets of red paint (PETA?).
Over all the game is being labelled as a fashion focused version of the already popular iPhone app Temple Run – and really is there anyone out there who doesn’t like Temple Run? We didn’t think so. Plus with the quirks of the awful model walks, the 90′s runway poses and the ridiculous ‘power ups’ such as ‘energy drinks’ and the ‘super stiletto‘, this game is guaranteed to be humorous if not entertaining.
