Topman’s Virtual “Denim Room”

By Caitlin Finley on July 17, 2012

Topshop and Topman, owned by Sir Philip Green, are making some of the fastest jumps in the world of fashion. After only just signing on to open up shops with Nordstrom in the fall, they’ve also added new technological elements to their Topman line: the Denim Room. This virtual experience lets visitors take a peek at lookbooks, washes, sizes, and the fine detailing of the incoming products all in one spot.

The lookbook section of the website features edgy fashion shots that show customers how they can wear denim this season. The photography complements Topman’s on-the-pulse approach to men’s fashion.

The Washes section of the guide delivers insight on what the popular denim washes of this season are. This includes details on how different washes are created, and what kind of style customers can create by wearing them. For example, during this upcoming season, customers can find naturally aged vintage washes, black and grey washes and coloured washes, as well as indigo and raw denim jeans.

The Fit section details what shoppers can expect from each denim style. This section will assist in the decision of what fit would suit them best. This season, Topman is showcasing a range of slim and skinny jeans, including traditional skinny fit jeans with roll ups, the stretched skinny fit, and classic slim jeans.

The Details section provides detailed information about different aspects of jeans, such as creasing, dyeing processes or rivets. This section will really help consumers understand every design element of their jeans.

The Size Guide provides detailed information about how to measure jeans. The guide shows key measurement points that are used to create different denim fits and where each size swill fit on different parts of the body so the customer can make an informed decision and allowing them to order the right size first time round.

Buyers have the chance to check out styles before they hit the shops, and they get all the details on each piece. The “Denim Room” can be visited here.
