Project Runway is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, and what better way to celebrate than with a virtual runway on the High Line!
The runway will be set up at the Chelsea Market Passage on the High Line between West 15th and West 16th Streets. The set up will incorporate real-time virtual emotions of Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia, and Michael Kors, which will be activated whenever in contact with motion.
“The High Line is, in essence, a runway—visitors from New York City and all over the world come and walk on an elevated platform in the heart of the Meatpacking District, the city’s epicenter of fashion and design, so this is an incredible partnership where style, culture and community meet,” says fashion designer Diane von Furstenebrg.
