These bright gold shoes aren’t just impressive because of their glimmery appeal – it’s the production process that really has us stunned!
Using a 3D printer, French designer, Luc Fusaro created these sneakers to help runners move faster in their own unique way. How? Each athlete has their foot scanned so that the shoe can be made perfectly for their shape. The spikes located on the soles of each shoe may have been added for extra grip, but we can’t help but think they look so on-trend this season.

The design was actually a portion of Fursaro’s final assignment for his Master’s program at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College of London. His analysis revealed that these shoes make athletes 3.5% faster! It might seem like a small amount, but for those of us that watch the Olympics (three weeks and counting!), we know that it’s just those little tiny milliseconds that win you the gold!
