Bombfell, short form for the term bombfellow (the male equivalent of bombshell), is a site dedicated to helping out those men who want to look the part but either have no time or no idea how to do it.
The app was created by two Harvard roommates, Bernie Yoo and Jason Kim, who realized they didn’t have the time or energy to hit the mall, and consequently dressing themselves in outdated clothing. So, with the help of fashion stylist Sarah Lee, the team set to work on the specifics and Bombfell was born!
It’s free to sign up for Bombfell and users simply have to provide information about themselves like what their body shape is, their favorite brands, skin tone, and style preferences. From these answers the site is able to put together an algorithm which picks items for you, and a real stylist has the final say. Once the algorithm suggests a piece a stylist will decide whether it’s right for you, and if not the item will be vetoed.
Each month the users are curated one piece of clothing and if the user decides they like it, they’re able to purchase the item for a flat rate of $69 and shipping is always free! Bombfell carries brands such as French Connection and Ben Sherman so you know that you’re going to be getting your money’s worth and great style all in one.
One thing we know for sure is that this concept is definitely an improvement from men having their mother’s go out and do their shopping for them. Plus, it also helps the user realize which pieces and style of clothing suit them best! So for all you girlfriends, sisters and mothers out there, this site might be a great starting point for any of those fashionably challenged men that we all have in our lives!
