Just when you think fashion has reached its technology peak, 3D has been introduced and designers are jumping at the chance to provide consumers with a unique way of designing pieces.What is said to be the most important conference in the Additive Manufacturing Industry, the show took place at the annual RAPID conference where the 3D Fabulous Fashion Show showed the latest in fashion gone digital in Atlanta, Georgia.
The designs were made using 3D printing technology, which can be used to quickly and relatively inexpensively manufacture anything from hats and shoes to the components needed for reconstructive jaw surgery.
The concept of 3D printing is sure to start a trend for future fashion shows, as designers see potential for revolutionizing product manufacturing. Belgian company, Materialise sponsored the show which included over forty 3D printed pieces created by famous designers.
