With the rise in popularity of fashion films by high end designers the British Fashion Council has decided to hold a nationwide search for emerging film-producing talent!
Fashion films are more or less another form of advertisement within the advertising campaign but the thing that makes them so unique and compelling is the creativity and story behind them. The BFC has made note of this and wants to keep this creative influx of films going. The search, which is appropriately titled Fash/On Film, requires up-and-coming directors to submit film ideas in response to criteria set by leading British designer Emilio de la Morena in conjunction with Fash/On Film. The film itself will showcase Emilio’s pre-spring 2013 collection.
The winner of the search will be rewarded with professional support and mentoring throughout the production process which is priceless insight for an aspiring film maker. The final film will premiere at London Fashion Week in September 2012 giving the film maker direct access to Britain’s most prestigious audience, which is without a doubt, the grandest prize of all!
The deadline to submit an application is fast approaching on July 6th, 2012! So for any of our UK readers with a creative side this may be something you’d like to check out!
