Fashion designer duo Badgley Mischka and Bergdorf Goodman are inviting viewers to preview Badgley Mischka’s resort collection via Pinterest. Badgley believes that Pinterest is a designer-friendly platform because it’s photo-driven, as opposed to text-driven social media platforms such as Twitter. Pinterest provides a permanent place to house images after a session of “live-pinning.” Users of the site create pin boards to categorize and collect favored pins- from fashion, designer wear, accessories, footwear and more.

The Badgley Mischka and Bergdorf Goodman Pinterest board, represented by the hashtag #BGBadgley, received over 21,000 followers, 200 repins and 164 likes in just after pinning 10 photos. Bergdorf Goodman will continue pinning to the board leading up to Badgley Mischka’s resort presentation on Tuesday, and will continue to “live-pin” during the show as well.
