Welcome back to Friday’s Frontment of Fashion! For our second edition, we take a look at some of the men of hip-hop who, along with dropping some killer beats, have some killer style.

Pharrell Williams
Whether he’s rocking a hoodie and Ray-Bans or a cardigan and a bow-tie, Pharrell Williams is the definition of trendsetter. It doesn’t matter if he’s dressed down and casual or dressed up for an A-list event, Pharrell has an amazing sense of personal style that always works for him. On top of a hugely successful music career, Mr. Williams has also teamed up with the likes of Louis Vuitton and Bathing Ape for a line of accessories and sneakers, and he has gone on to design for his own successful apparel lines, Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream.

Jay-Z
The hip-hop mogul has come a long way since his early days growing up in the projects of New York City. Despite where his life may have taken him, however, Sean Carter has definitely done things on is own terms. He looks just as fly in head to toe black as he does in a white dinner jacket on the red carpet next to the equally well dressed Beyoncé. Not one for trendy fads, Jay-Z always manages to stay just ahead of the curve by being a true classic.

Kanye West
Jay-Z’s BF, Kanye West is truly a style icon for our generation. Whether he’s rocking the preppy-nerd look we know and love or looking slick in designer duds, Mr. West is truly an innovator. We can’t help but overlook his crazy ego when he looks just as comfortable sitting front row at the hottest fashion shows each season as he does in his music videos. Say what you want about the man when he gets a mic in his hand, but there’s no denying Kanye West looks just amazing in just about whatever he decides to wear.

André 3000
Now here’s a man known for wearing just about anything from plaid bell bottoms and suspenders to a crown and track pants. You only need to watch OutKast’s Hey Ya to understand where we’re coming from! Known for mashing up English gentlemen with American prep and all out 70s rock star, there’s no denying that André 3000 does a lot really well. Just check out his commercial for Gillette where he’s one part of the coolest trio we’ve seen in a long time.

Run DMC
Speaking of trios, there’s no way we could have left the trio who single handedly made Adidas tracksuits cool off the list. While not so in fashion today, the boys of Run DMC were true style revolutionaries in their time; rocking laceless sneakers and Kengol hats way before anyone else did. They also made dressing to match look kinda cool in a very un-Jackson 5 kind of way. Not only are they one of the top hop-hop acts of all time, they’re 3 of the coolest guys we wish we knew!
