The Japanese fashion label has released a capsule collection with the iconic cartoonist, based on his earlier Life in Hell comic series.The graphic tees, designed by Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kwakubo are based on the characters Blinky and Sheba from Groening’s late 1970s comic book.
The capsule collection features short and long-sleeved tops with the Life in Hell characters and PLAY’s signature heart logo. We especially love how the black and white theme perfectly conveys Groening’s earlier illustrated creations.
We’re excited about the re-release of this collection, but we can only hope this collaboration will soon spark a line based on the cartoonists other legendary characters. Do you think it’s time for a designer collection based on The Simpsons? Yah, neither do we.
