TIFF for TAF: Interview With Yasmin Warsame

By Maddy Aubert on September 17, 2011

Last week Toronto was a buzz with the Toronto International Film Festival. With celebrities gracing red carpets for premieres, and fan and paparazzi taking over the typically more quiet city, we had the pleasure of attending the TIFF for TAF event on Monday at Amber in Yorkville.

TIFF for TAF was hosted by Canadian model, Yasmin Warsame, who holds this cause close to her heart. Being from Somalia, Yasmin has now been a part of The African Future (TaF) for 5 years. A small grassroots organization, TaF aims to improve the quality of life for the future of Africa. FASHIONOTES sat down with Yasmin to learn more about the cause, and also had a chance to speak with Canadian R&B artist Keshia Chanté.
