Hermes, the renowned French luxury brand is set to launch its furniture line at the Milan International Furniture Show next week. The Salone Internazionale del Mobile runs from April 12-17, 2011, and will feature Hermes’ luxurious line of designs for the home, including furnishing fabrics, wallpaper and carpets.
In November 2010, Hermes re-released some of their iconic furniture design pieces by Jean-Michel Frank dating from 1924 as part of their ‘Maison’ line. The contemporary designs being unveiled in Milan are created by Hermes’ artistic director, Pierre-Alexis Dumas, in collaboration with top international designers including Enzo Mari, Antonio Citterio, Denis Montel and Eric Benqué.
These will be available at Hermes stores around the world from September this year. The company is also introducing a collection of home fabrics, carpets and wallpaper created with Italian textile producer Dedar, available this May.
