Fendi’s Kids Don’t Wear Shoes

By Emma Nicolls on April 16, 2011

On the heels of Gucci and Stella McCartney, Fendi has launched a childrenswear collection, complete with pink ruffles for girls, plaid pants for boys, and a shiny brown poncho that vaguely resembles a floppy, gleaming pancake. They needed some smiling, fabulous children to show just how fun and fabulous these clothes were, so they invited Kelly Rutherford and a bunch of other moms to bring their kids to New York’s Fendi flagship, where they all got hopped up on cupcakes and posed for pictures. Some of the youngsters had a ball, while others looked understandably terrified.

I guess in Fendi’s world, kids don’t wear shoes?
