It’s time to put on your sequin cocktail dress, stiletto heels and grab that Judith Leiber clutch. But what about your makeup? Here are three makeup ideas that are easy-to-apply and will spice up your look…
Retro Glam
Retro wouldn’t be retro without that deep red lip, flawless matte face, heavy eyeliner and dramatic false lashes. This look will add some drama and vintage glamour to any outfit. For an even bolder look, try a retro curl and rhinestone earrings.
Color
When you’re experimenting with color for the first time, you’ll really want to keep it simple. Use one solid hue across the lid for a bold, sophisticated look that doesn’t look cartoonish. Stay away from adding too many tones at once. A nearly-there lip will keep you pretty and modern.
Smokey Eyes
Be careful when you apply this look. With too much black shadow and too much smudge, you can really make a mess of things. Start small and work your way out. It’s always easier to add than to remove. Apply black liner to the lid and smudge slightly, then add smokey grey shadow. This will give you a sultry look. Make sure you stick with your natural brow. Add a touch of fresh dewy glow to the skin and this will balance out the harshness of the eye. Keep your lips pale to balance out the edge. [tfs]
